Extension and Refurbishment of Swindon Designer Outlet

This scheme involved a 125,000sq ft extension/refurbishment of this Centre developed within the old Brunel railway building. The scheme involved a newly defined retail circuit, considerable customer journey works, a revision of retail zoning and the repositioning of food and beverage and events/customer experience offer.  This project was shortlisted by BCSC in 2015 within the extension of year category and surpassed original financial return projections. This project received Breeam ‘Very Good’ rating.

South Quay, Hayle foodstore consent in World Heritage Site

Obtained planning permission for circa 50,000sq ft foodstore against two occupier led competing schemes. Key to this success being design workshops with local community and heritage groups prior to planning being approved. Also innovative s106 agreement which provided local community assurances over long term use and maintenance of the harbour. This building was awarded RIBA South West building of the year 2015.

Extension of Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet

This scheme provided for an additional 30,000sqft retail/food and beverage, decked parking, new play area, VIP Suite and considerable customer journey improvements throughout the scheme. Extensive pre-consultation and stakeholder engagement was undertaken with key parties prior to planning submission so to manage safe passage of application which was then supported unanimously by the planning committee.

Extension of Ashford Designer Outlet

Obtained planning permission for 100,000 sq ft extension. This involved extensive negotiations with council on highways and retail impact grounds before permission was granted.

Cornwall masterplan permission plus enabling works for 1039 dwellings

This was a complex masterplanning exercise where we adopted a Design Code and a parameters plan to obtain a significant outline permission in a World Heritage site which also encompassed a nature reserve. An extensive s106 agreement was agreed in order to mitigate the various ecology and highways impacts. Then negotiated deal to secure £18m of public sector funding (EU/County Council) to build new roads, bridge and restore quayside and quay walls in harbour in exchange for a transfer of land for the county council to build new Renewables Business Park.

New Flagship Store for Polo Ralph Lauren, Cheshire Oaks

18,000 sq ft flagship store with backfilling of existing units.  Managed from inception through to completion. The project was delivered on time and within budget and significantly outperforming usual target return.

Managed leasing and disposal strategy of 155,000sq multi let industrial estate prior to disposal.
